08 | The Power of Story | Joey Taylor
Joey Taylor is the Director of Bespoken Live, a storytelling, story-listening, and mindfulness program designed to create safe space for people to find their voice together. With experience in interfaith engagement and community development in the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Cincinnati, his commitment to story began when he was encouraged to develop youth programming in the face of political and religious polarization and social isolation.
In this week’s episode, Joey shares his experiences with story – from engaging youth in Cincinnati through storytelling experiences, to creating an online community to share a cup of coffee and a story, all while learning that healing is possible when we tell our stories.
Hear why storytelling makes a difference, how to create a safe space for others to share, and why true hope is found in a blend of beauty and brokenness.
